Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Accommodation in Verbier in January

 Poster: A snowHead

Two of us are travelling independently to Verbier in the second week of January and don't know the resort at all. Are there any suggestions, please, for well located and not terribly expensive accommodation?

Thanks.

I've recently been looking for accomodation for March for a solo trip. The only cheap option I could come up with was the summer house. After that your best bet might well be a studio apartment. Several of the 'independent' accomodation websites came up with a few possibilities, but they weren't that cheap. Basically I think it's just quite an expensive resort.

Given the great snow reports for Verbier just now, I'd get something booked pretty quickly if possible.

MGA, this one is pretty good value and dead handy for getting onto the bus and onto the lifts.

MGA, Mosha Marc, I have stayed with Peak Ski and they are a good operator at the lower end of the market, and often offer bargains March/April.

I worked for three years for Joyce at Peak Ski. Couldn't recommend them enough. L'Epervier is a nice chalet in a good location. Also check Bugnion & Armiere, though they may well be full.

Aye - 3rd vote for peak ski. Though I also worked for them Cool

Best value chalet company in Verbier & some good locations.
Bugnion / Armilliare are slap bang next to Medran.

Avoid the bunker at all costs...
If you really want to go self catering then there are independent adds on the verbier tourist www site or look at the interhome site.

MGA, I did two solo trips last year and one was in the Hotelk Rotonde. Decent Value ( For Verbs Confused ) and very central. WI-fi too if that matters (it does to me...)

depends what you're looking for. For me the best bet is somewhere near place centrale and near the medran lifts. last year we stayed at the farinet (best pres ski and night club and not very expensive, all relative of course, verbier is an expensive resort). This year i'm going for half a week and farinet does full weeks only so i booked at the 4 vallees. near the medran lifts but also a short walk to place centrale. if it's just the two of you hotels offer a more flexible option then chalets

Try the Hotel Bristol, it's near the Medran and they always seem to be able to get you in whether it's one night or a week. You could also try www.mountainbeds.com who are a chalet and room finder
