My boyfriend and I are v v keen to ski/board over New Year's (27 Dec -3 Jan) but finding it very difficult as a pair - anyone looking for two more people to fill a chalet (Val Thorens, Meribel, Courchevel ideally, but we're flexible) pls let me know! Also, anyone have any tips on good accoms/deals over this period - are we destined to pay £1k + or miss out? We're early 30s, one boarder one skier, we like apres piste drinks & socialising but hardcore party days have passed...

thanks bertie - we'll keep looking, we're keeping our eye on all the last minute sites so hopefully something will pop up (not that I'm wishing redundancy on anyone!) would welcome suggestions of other resorts that might be less £££ if you know of any. We're not too bothered with bars and clubs, but do like nice restaurants, pubs, accoms that are clean rather than lush etc...thanks for your help.

leaves Sat 14:30 from Victoria and overnights it to Valloire, french Alps. Leaves Sat 27th Dec and will be back in the UK on Sun 4th Jan. Why not just get your own accommodation and lift pass? no need to pay for excess ski's either!! Transport is all booked. I have 9 seats left. £99 only

Some friends are coming out to visit me in Les Menuires over New Year and booked into Hotel Carla at a reasonable rate only a week or so ago. Might be worth considering.

Hi, My girlfriend and I are also keen to find something for the new year week. We are mid 30's and both ski. We did VT a couple of years ago and its a blast at new year so would consider taking a room in a chalet if you want to go down the organising route? Or if anyone else has last min drop outs let us know too please?
The deals dont seem to have come yet, but im sure that will change if you can afford to wait another couple of weeks.
We have also been looking at driving to a catered chalet in sainte foy so could be up for sharing the cost/drive if you are interested in that. Its a tiny resort but within easy drive of tignes etc. The chalet is top quality but the night life is fairly slow to be honest.

Just back from Val Thorens and the Crystal rep told me that they've only sold 30 out of 176 rooms over the xmas/ new year period.
So some good deals are on the way. January is pretty much sold out due recession.
