Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Le Monal, Fogliettaz 2 great off piste runs Cool

Used to be much quieter 5 -10 years ago, but many new chalets have been built and the Ski media went on and on about it so the secret got out.

Its a good base for exploring the Tarentaise Valley as a whole.

I've only visited for the day from Val d'Isere.
A very nice smaller area with some good off-piste. Well placed mid-way between Val d'Isere/Tignes and Les Arcs/La Plagne (=Paradiski) to visit both. You might want the variety.
Don't know the Chalet.

if you like to ski groomers (pistes) then there are better options nearby (paradiski / espace killy), otherwise I reckon you can 'tick off' all the pistes in Ste Foy in a day or two..

If you like off-piste then it's a good spot - not upto la grave standards but not bad at all.

Pretty / Somewhat 'plastic' resort...one road thru resort so I'd imagine at peak arrival/departure could be a nightmare...

bertie bassett, not a great deal of interest in groomers, maybe a day out of 5 with my old man.

arv, Ssssshhhhh, when mentioning the resort, please speak in hushed tones - we don't want everyone finding the place.....as mentioned above, the cat is now out of the bag, but is still very quiet on the whole. Some of the best off-piste in the Tarentaise, frequented by off-duty instructors, guides and gnarly film-makers. Resort itself is small and compact, despite the recent development. Great base to ski the whole Tarentaise region. Any other questions, you can ask me in the 'pitch when the lifts close wink

Persoanlly I hate the place and wouldn't want to reccomend it to anyone, Can't understand why anyone would want to go somewhere that is friendly, small uncrowded and has some great off piste skiing and is so close to alot of other major resorts.
