Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

£546 to Val D'Isere.....

Just getting proces for this years trip at the end of March 2009. Best a found from Firstchoice was £546 in the Jardin De La Balme Apartments. This includes Flight, Transfer, Espace Killy Lift Pass, Ski carriage, and 7 nights accomodation.

What is this price like, is it worth looking around for cheaper?? Has anyone stayed in these apartments before or know where they are in relation to the main lifts/slopes??

What is apres ski like in Val D'Isere? (Amount of bars/prices of beer in particular!)

Val d'Isere rocks! If you time it right you can hit various Happy Hours until about 11pm. As a bonus, the skiing is nothing short of superb.

I've stayed there, the apartments can be quite poky like many french apartments. They're ski-in=ski out from either solaise or santons, there's supposedly a little bus that runs to town every 20 minutes or so, it can occasionally not turn up though!

£546 is a pretty good price including lift pass: is that self catering? And how many people, in an apartment desigend for how many? If there's only two of you, you;ll get a better h/b deal by waiting till the last minute: if there's half a dozen of you, well you might not find a good deal at a later date but if you're in an apartment designed for 6, you'd better be good friends!

jdodd86, Sounds like a good price,we are paying £705.00 for catered chalet including lift passes and everything else from 21st march which i thought was ok. Cracking place,enjoy it! Cool
