Poster: A snowHead

I'll be travelling with Scandinavian airlines in Jan, and wondered if anyone had experience of taking skis/boards with them.
They seem to want to charge £15 each way to pre-book skis - but I'm wondering if it's worth just turning-up and smiling sweetly at the check-in staff

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I thought food was included. But maybe that was my own wishful thinking!
Maybe someone will be along who can shed some light on it all!

That's what I thought ... I just wondered if there's a sneaky way of getting around the whole ski carriage thing.

Unfortunately, I don't know about the skis. However, I'm afraid you're right about the food. On my last SAS flight from Zurich to Copenhagen, there was nothing free, not even a glass of water.
On the other hand, they have good food for sale and it's reasonably priced IMO.
Your trip sounds like fun. Enjoy!
