So Lucie, how did you get on with your new Blizzard Skis? Mrs NBT is very much interested in the blizzard skis that are popping up on ebay at the moment and was very upset to leran that we wouldn't get to hear your thoughts thanks to the ski club!

I thought they were pretty damn good overall. It took me a few runs to get used to them but they are 10cm longer than I've ever skied on before (my hubby reckoned it was time for me to stop namby-pamby-ing around & get "proper" length skis!) & I've only ever skied on crappy hire shop skis before; a brand new pair with newly sharpened edges & no huge gouges out of the base must've made some difference!
Overall they turned when I wanted them to turn, stopped when I wanted to stop & I felt in control of them at all times. My hubby says I looked a lot more in control & they felt really comfortable. £140 well spent IMO

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have skied Blizzards for the last 3yrs - 173, Race Carvers, steeel edge (not the latest Titanium ones).
I've tried a lot of others - notably the yellow 'scream' things - and by far and away, the bliz's re the best I've used. Responsive, well-engineered and (for the version I have), equally good on the fluff, the ice, the schuss and moguls.
Best of all - they're rare, so easy to find on the restaurant racks
Love 'em.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

masopa,
lol
I'll try, but don't think he'll believe me! However, he's now got shorter skis so maybe I'll be able to keep up for a change!
