Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

useful but I'm not sure about the validity of the data - checking randomly on lyon
# Though slightly further from the slopes than Grenoble, Chambery or Geneva, most of the main resorts can still be reached within three hours.
# Closest resorts: Courchevel (two hours 30 mins), Val d'Isere (three hours), Meribel (two hours 30 mins), L'Alpe d'Huez (three hours), Tignes (three hours), Megeve (three hours), La Tania (two hours), Morzine (two hours 20 mins), Avoriaz (three hours 30 mins), La Plagne (two hours), Les Menuires (two hours)
They seem to have forgotten a small resort in the Paradiski domain, not mentioned La Rosiere (if la tania gets a mention shouldn't good old la ros) - and if you plan on flying to Lyon for Morzine or Avoriaz you must be bonkers. Plus how on earth does it take 1hr 10 minutes to get from Morzine to Avoriaz..
Chambery - don't even mention paradiski or tignes. My first to trip was from chambery to LP so I feel put out about that one.
Similar issues on GVA - Avoriaz is 1 hr 30 mins and morzine is 2 hours - I reckon this was pulled together by someone with satnav/routeplanner rather than a regular ski weekender.
Still always useful to have more info sources - and I really like the skyscanner plug in if I ran a website...

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

bertie bassett, They also seem to think that Turin is the best airport for all Italian resorts, and that German airports are the best for Austrian resorts.
Completely ignoring Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Verona, Bergamo, Venice.

You'll need to Register first of course.

A bizarre selection of airports, more are missing than included... Are we to expect parts 2, 3 & 4 at a later date?

Imho this is the definitive site for resorts near airports (and a lot more besides). A godsend for planning short breaks or just for short transfers.
And what's more, J2Dave is a snowHead!
