jase2472, Arc 1950 is very small compared to Morzine, and everything is within a short walk so getting kids around to creche, ski school, etc is very easy. I've heard a couple of good reports about the Kids' Club at 1950 (the Cariboo Club). I don't know anyone who has taken kids to Morzine so can't make a direct comparison.

I agree - definitely Les Arcs 1950. Morzine is a massive resort with main roads etc.. Les Arcs 1950 is completely pedestrianised and a very small centre with everything in easy walking distance and no cars to worry about.. good views of Mont Blanc too!!
I've been around the Cariboo club there - it's a great place and linked to the ski school.

I would agree with Arcs1950 - seems to be quite an 'easy' place for kids, and whilst that's going on then parents have a great domain to play in.
Morzine will just be faff - by definition it'll probably be transport to the slopes and then at least a gondol ride to get up to some beginner areas (unless you're lucky with the snow down in morzine itself). No doubt when the kids are 18/20 then the delights of the buddha will outweigh the joys of 1950 however.
If you still want/need to fly to GVA and want a shortish transfer then avoriaz for kids might be a better option than morzine itself.

jase2472 - I'd agree with Les Arcs out of the two. You might want to consider Avoriaz however, which is also a "modern" (I use that word cautiously), pedestrianised resort.
