When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Prince Harry's friend loses his father in ski accident

The father of a friend of Prince Harry, Martin Hitchman, has lost his life in a ski accident in Bulgaria. His son Edward Hitchman plays polo with the Prince. As reported by snowHeads yesterday - click here - Martin Hitchman was thrown into rocks, suffering severe head and spinal injuries.
The accident took place in Bansko, on a family holiday...

David, Merry Christmas - you up wrapping presents too? I've just done my Father Christmas act - Rosie and Tom have stockings hanging in their rooms - now it 's a glass of port, some ripe cheddar, then off to bed.
Sad story, but it sounds like another accident that could possibly have had a better outcome if he had been wearing a helmet. Sad
