I'm looking at booking a long weekend to Austria at the start of March but cannot seem to find any flights back on a Tuesday or Wednesday to airports in the north of England.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

SCollier1, Salzburg or Innsbruck? You could try Friedrichshafen, which although in Germany is close to Arlberg region. Ryanair fly there from Liverpool. Try living in Scotland, it's even worse for flights to Austria, but plenty going to Spain etc - obviously Austria does not deep fry enough of their food to make us Scots go there

Manchester to Zurich
not terribly cheap ITRO £175 return but includes bag and ski carriage and choice of 3 flights a day
ideal for Western Austria, Arlberg and western Tryol resorts Ischgl/Solden etc.

SCollier1, Thomsonfly return from Salzburg on a Monday evening into Manchester, late enough to get a full day skiing in.

I thought it was restarting in December, it's a winter only route. Out on saturday morning, returning the same day. Only once a week.

stevev, maybe so, but if you look at ryanair website there is no longer an option to view/book this route, would have thought if flights would be available from Dec onwards then you would be able to book them now ?

I stand corrected. It was there a couple of weeks ago, they must have pulled it.
