Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can anybody recommend a place for hiring skis? Or for snowboard gear? (If you know a shop good at both then you've found the Holy Grail - pass it on!) Thanks snowHead snowHead

the ice perv, there are loads of shops in Alpe d'Huez. If you want something special you may be best to ring in advance, otherwise it depends on where you are staying as it is a big resort.

I booked online and checked the prices with these

www.snowbrainer.co.uk
www.skiset.com/index-en.html
www.snowrental.net

These also give you an idea of where the shops are.

the ice perv, If you are staying at the Les Bergers end there are several in the centre there. I booked one through Twinner, think it was Noel Sports, up the stairs at the fron t of the centre, turn left. Got some decent skis from them 2 or 3 years ago.

the ice perv, Cyril's Sport I would say quite confidently is the best hire shop in Alpe d'Huez! He has really competative prices, excellent friendly service and a really good standard of equipment. They are the first shop on your right as you enter the Les Bergers centre through 'Entree Est'. They do also have a website you can look at http://www.cyrils-sport.com/ and are very helpful and speak good English if you wanted to ring or email them in advance if you have specific requirements. Very Happy

the ice perv, As katski, is based there I shouldn't bother about anyone elses opinion to be honest. Unless that shop is too inconvenient for your location I would go for it.
