Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Maps for L2A/La Grave

Poster: A snowHead
Am I correct in thinking that I need two maps for this area (IGN 3336 ET for L2A and 3436 ET for La Grave)? Mainly for off piste use, also which would be best for Alpe de Huez?

Cheers.

Swirly, yep. I don't have them but ...

3336 for L2A (for the unfamiliar the resort is on the col between Venosc and Mont de Lans).

3436 for La Grave

3335 for Alpe d'Huez

Stanfords www.stanfords.co.uk/MapShop are great for maps if you want to have a look before you get out there. I've never failed to source a map from them

dsoutar, yeah I've used Stanfords in the past (they are very good) but there's no rush and it's definitely cheaper to buy them in France in my case.

Swirly, the Casino in Bourg D'Oisans has a stand of them, failing that the Presse in the middle of LDA also stock them. Very Happy
