Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Any good ski tuition in Ski Amade?

 Poster: A snowHead

Off to Flachau for Christmas, cant wait to get back

One bad thing about last years holiday - the 2 private lessons we had were of a pretty poor standard

Can anyone recommend any ski instructor in Flachau or surrounding area
(Zauchensee, Schladming, Wagrain etc are all good as we have a car)

Always find a good lesson or two at the start of my holiday improves my skiing and my holiday no end

I can recommend Sandra @ Radstadt ski school if anyone else is in the same position, but I'm not sure how often she works or if she is still there

Cheers for any help

If you get over as far as Hochkoenig I can recommend Fred at Edelweiss for general instruction, off piste & guiding:

Hi,

If you fancy coming over to our end - Muehlbach am Hochkoenig we could meet up for a ski- you will find our area is very quiet compared to Flachau even at Christmas. We are about 25 mins from you. We have a ski school in front of us but they will be busy at Christmas. Pm me for further info.

Hi Nigel

Might just do that, spent 2 days last season over at Muehlbach and planning on at least another day trip this time too!

I need to find out if I really was on a 1/2 hour drag lift (at Dienten???) or if it was my imagination. Love the quiet over there, we had pistes to ourselves last year and that was half-term

Yes -there is a very long drag lift in Dienten- but the 2 drag lifts in Muehlbach has been replaced with a new gondola which I tried for the first time last weekend.- It is really good- snowing very heavily here at the moment -look at our web cam at our apartments:-

Let us know when you are over and then we can meet up!1

a.j., I think the ski school is in a hut where the ski bus drops you off next to the gondola.

well I'm back on the 28th so will report back on any lessons I do have ...going to go for a female instructor ...got a theory that female instructors are less likely to 'fall into' the profession and are more likely to be into their job

dont know if this is other peoples experience but whilst male instructors have been a mixed bag female instructors have been consistently excellent
