Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

ski boot last question

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I have a very narrow foot and am looking at buying a salomon Gun boot
I see on the salomon website that they mention the last widths ( I am ssuming this is measured under the ball of the foot ? is that correct ?). If so, it looks like the Gun might be the boot for me?!

I know I need it try first but I want to try and narrow down my selection before I enter a shop
I also get a good discount on salomon so would rather stick with that brand

any help much appreciated
I have a very high in step and the widest part of my foot at the ball of thefoot is 105mm I take a 45 shoe size - if this helps in giving some parameters?

torico, Yep you do need to try before you buy but Salomon have a new thing this year where they can acutally mold the shell of the boot Shocked might be worth a look but I think the Falcon and Gun are about 95 across the foot

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

torico, Never try before you buy.

Ordhan, 98mm, the new 'Custom shell' is the same boot with mouldable panels. If it it proves robust, then Salomon could be onto something.

torico, go to a good boot fitter without any preconceptions/ideas and if he does his job correctly he will allow you to leave with a perfectly fitting book. No need to narrow down your selection-thats his job.
