I'm thinking of attempting France this year, dedicated Austria and Switzerland skiing in previous years.
As we are now child free we'd like to avoid the school holidays, I can find out the UK ones and believe the French stagger theirs.
Can anyone offer advice about when to go?

janette,
France,
zone A: 7-21 Feb
zone B: 14-28 Feb
zone C: 21 Feb - 7 March. This is the zone that includes Paris, often considered to be the worst one for traffic.
The first and last week have only one zone on holiday, the middle two have two zones. Try to be at home then.
