Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Surely Turin is much, much closer? After that 6 of us shared a taxi but that might be a bit expensive for 1 or 2 people (it would otherwise have been a bus into Turin followed by a train or bus, followed by another bus.)

thunderer, we were on a package into Turin so can't offer personal advice on transfers. But Turin is definitely an easier transfer than Chambery. There was a local minibus taxi guy in MG who did transfers to/from Turin.

As to accommodation, check out an apartment/studio for the week (Sat-Sat and forego 2 nights) as it may work out cheaper than 5 nights B&B.

Edit:for inaccuracies

thunderer, transfers from Chambery would mean an expensive trip through the Frejus tunnel, so would be pricey. Car hire would be your best bet I think. Turin is much nearer, and more likely. ATS are a transfer company that may price your journey for you.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Contact James at Go Montgenevre, I'm sure they'll be able to sort out accomodation and a transfer.

They do personal transfers for reasonable prices which we have used for the last 2 years.

By the way, Montgenevre is a really nice place to ski - much nicer than the Italian parts of the Milky Way, both for scenery and villages (and has good off-piste too).

Try Owners Direct / Holiday Lettings / Holiday-rentals for accommodation as luigi, said would prob work out cheaper and in an apartment you have the option of self catering.

You'll prob get cheaper flights if you avoid the weekends too - if you can get time off work (always my problem)
