Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Recommendation for Ski School in Tignes

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

I am going back to Tignes in Jan. I have skied about 9 weeks in total over the last 3 years. Got into it late, but am loving it.
I have been having ESF lessons and I'm in level 3 now. I am ok on most reds but want to improve my technique so I'm comfortable on reds and blacks.

I want to learn to carve and handle moguls well.

I have heard about a ski school called British Alpine Ski School (BASS) - has anyone had lessons with these?

I've also heard that Stewart Woodward is very good - how would I get in touch about lessons?

cheers

Hi lauralime, welcome to snowHeads snowHead

You can contact Stewart Woodward either through a Private Message here - he is a snowHead - or his email address is: tigneskiing@fsmail.net

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There have been a few small English speaking ski schools in Tignes, but which will be operating next season I won't know until I return in November. Try contacting Tony & Jill at the Alpaka for a current update (www.alpaka.com).

lauralime, sounds like you're sorted. If for any reason things don't come off with BASS, you could do worse than look into Evolution2. They were recommended to me by another of our esteemed snowHeads when I was looking for something similar a few years ago - proved to be excellent advice.
