Hi guys, just wondering if I'll need a swiss visa to fly into geneva, then get a taxi straight away from the airport to courchevel. Will I need to get a "transit visa" or something like that. How much will they be if I do need it and where can I get it from? Thanks guys, Tom

lofty1988, at a (semi-educated) guess, if you need a visa at all - and on the face of it, you shouldn't need one if you are entering on a UK passport - then you will need a transit visa to pass through Geneva. The people to contact are not, I think, the FCO but rather the Swiss Embassy in whatever country you're in now.

lofty1988, You will be welcomed in Switzerland with a UK Passport, as long as it's not expired, and you are not wanted by the authorities  You won't need any sort of visa, because you will be a tourist.

lofty1988, I land in Geneva and go to the PdS (France) a number of times a year. Never had a visa, never had a problem! Is there a problem that may negate the Swiss border control looking on you as a tourist or desirable alien???

I thin the Swiss take just about any form of monetary payment thought up.
So no, you don't need a visa - Matstercard will do, or cash.
