Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

6 or 8 of us are going for a week in March, and an array of skiing ability. Were looking for a Chalet or hotel. What type of lift pass would we need as Im aware its linked to other resorts.

Were basically wanting it cheap so any advice would be a bonus!

MFC, You will need a full area pass for those of you that ski (cost 2008 €208 for the week), beginners can buy point cards and they seemed to work out much cheaper for those in our group. Alas, cant advise on particular properties re cost, someone will be along shortly and give you additional info.

MFC,

Can't help, I'm afraid, Arabba has long been on my list but just never made it...

Might have to address that PDS.

Not sure I would spend too much time on the circuit tho..maybe just one of two specific days to pick off a route or two

Hotel Malita and Hotel Mesdi are about €90 half board pp per day and having stayed in both would happily return. The Hotel Malita has a Garni sister hotel that may be cheaper. The two hotels are very central / near lifts not sure about the Garni

MFC,

A while ago I sent an email to info@arabba.it asking for advice about hotels in Arabba. They obviously forwarded this to their hotels many of which have replied with prices, so you might want to try that email address.

MFC, Anybody who is not an absolute beginner, get the whole area lift pass. It only costs about 16-19 euros extra, and you will certainly want to ski outside the Arabba valley. Even a confident 2nd week skier will probably want to do the Sella Ronda circuit at some point, and tath goes through 4 local lift pas areas.

For next season, last two weeks of March, the Arabba pass is 177, the dolomiti superski is 193, first two weeks of March (high season) are 201/220 (All for 6 day passes).

I don't know about accommodation, having only stayed in Val di Fassa (the next valley clockwise around the Sella Ronda).

Not Arraba, but we've got a large chalet in San Cassiano, Alta Badia - Those of you who can ski can get to Arraba very easily from there - those who can't, there's an excellent ski school and we're right on the piste with a gondola outside to get them up and down the mountain easily. PM me if you'd like details.
