Haven't had a good thunderstorm for ages. Last one was in Montreuil-sur-Mer last June. It didn't thunder when we were in Serre Che last summer.

Renry, Yes, but Vienna is not next door to Geneva...last year we had one of those just about every night from 17h37 until 18h02 (It is Switzerland after all...)

It was, made a right old racket on our roof windows. But was badly needed - it had been unpleasantly hot and sultry for days, now it's nicely warm and pleasant

We had thunder and lightning here about a month ago... no sign since. Need a good storm to clear the air!

You know it makes sense.

After a sunny and hot weekend it's raining hard in Vienna again this morning, the Euro final only missed the rain by a few hours. Even though I live out in the sticks I've never been prevented from driving home because of the snow (FWD and good winter tyres) but the rain a few weeks ago nearly stalled the car as a river (burst stream) across the road momentarily went above the exhaust pipe. 
This tropical weather is making a mess of the mountainbike trails.
