Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Been there mountain biking in summer.

Can't remember the exact geography but I think the options are Attitash, Cranmore

Loon, Cannon a bit more of a drive. Near Mt Washington too but Tuckerman's Ravine may a) not be in condition, b) probably not be recommended for a 10 year old.

Factory outlet shopping & crazy golf were other features I remembered.
You may want to move to resorts.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

kevthekite,

Wildcat for technically exciting skiing (think race teams and creek beds)

Attit{r}ash for size and snowmaking (New Year's is a bit early for best coverage unless it is a winter like 2002)

Bretton Woods for family stuff

Heaps of XC trails everywhere.

+ you can climb Mt. Washington.

Expect the town and the ski areas to be flooded with Boston-area skiers over the w/e, particularly the main road through town down through the intersection with the Kancamagus. Locks are a very good idea.

Been there - it was great. Went to Attitash Bear Peak which was really nice. It's not too big, but I was taken by how well we were treated. Shopping in N/C is tax free, so take an extra suit case to bring back all those cheap clothes. We went around 9 years ago so unlikely to be able to give you recomendations on anything specific as it's probably changed - my sister goes back every year though (with an empty suit case or three!!). I would definately go back there.

I believe there's loads to do like skidoos, ice skating etc. as my sister is always telling various stories about doing such things there. We stayed at the Green Granite Inn. Food was typically large portions and with plenty for all.

Enjoy it. I'm sure you will.
