Interesting to see in the link that the only private residence available in Ischgl isn't actually in Ischgl but in Mathon which is a separate much smaller village without any ski lifts. While technically possible the chances of an outsider and I include non local Austrians building or buying property in Iscghl are, I have been told, zero. They like to look after their own.

You are behind the times. There hasnt been a private residence in Ischgl for at least
The last 20years. All addresses are registered busineses..
As for building. The land is owned by 5 familys including the mountain.
