Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help needed with childrens ski gear

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I recently ordered my daughter a Tresspass Cariboo ski set for £29 from Born2becool but upon opening the parcel today I have noticed that I have infact received a AST set. I have no idea who they are. The label inside the clothing has a reference to Brugi and the popper studs have Astrolabio imprinted on them.

I have sent them an email to inform them of the mistake and they have replied to say that the Tresspass set was out of stock and they have sent the AST set as a replacement.

They are telling me that the AST set is a far superior quality to the set I ordered and retails at £75 but they are not charging me the extra which sounds great yet I can't find anything to back this up as on their website I cant find any AST sets. They have a Brugi set which looks similar at £85 yet the suit I have has AST printed over it. A search provides lots of links to ebay with prices of AST items as low as £10 so I am unsure as to whether this set is actually a satisfactory replacement or not.

Any advice would be much appreciated as I know nothing about this brand and need to advise them if I will accept this or not.

spinks, welcome! I haven't heard of AST but Brugi is a respected name in kids' skiwear. Have a look at the technical info on the labels, this will tell you more about the quality rather than the brand name ie waterproof rating, insulation etc.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Lou, I have now managed to find the Italian Brugi website and it looks like AST and Nordsen are part of the same group as Brugi.

I have checked the lables in the garments and they are exactly the same address and vat number as Brugi so looks like I have got a really good deal.
