Poster: A snowHead

Evening folks:
We have flights booked to Geneva on Aptil 19th and I honestly don't know where to head for skiing, my partner and I are intermediate/advanced but we have offered to take my sister who has never been before, so that means we need somewhere where she can learn (preferrably in ski school). I am considering Morzine/Avoriaz but could do with some expert advice?

Val Thorens! See EOSB thread!
Although the list is full, there is a waiting list. or you could stay somewhere else there and still join in the fun!

EoSB, I'm sure Admin can pull something out of his hat for the backup list (even if it is leaky old tents).

Standee, go to the www.valthorens.com website and they have easy links to all the accomodation etc. Easy to book online too. I've jumped in a taxi at Geneva airport to Val Thorens. Cost 300 euros between 4 of us which not too bad

I just did a quick search on the VT website and it came up with quite a lot of accommodation, but I would ask Admin first!

3 hours of fun with new friends if you manage to get on one of the lardybuses! With perhaps the added bonus of a two hours stopover in Annecy.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Kramer, I hope you're kidding about the length of the Annecy stop!

Val D'isere? I know the chalet we are staying in for that week isn't full yet so there's probably quite a few decent deals around. Also pretty high and Not sure whats it's like for beginners, haven't been before.
