Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can anyone use the club house ?

In various forum, much has been made of the location of the (Wimbledon)clubhouse contributing to a London centric /Southern biased club. Indeed, in a recent post, it was mentioned that London members used to pay a higher subscription, because of this greater facility.

I've been to the AGM there, and I know it houses the administration offices and club archives, but what else is the club-house for ? Can I just turn up when I feel like it and have a drink at the bar or must I wait for an official event. (I looked through my membership pack, but it didn't tell me.)

It might make a good venue to hold an informal gathering of the (London) forum community.
We could even talk over our difference of opinion with any passing committe members present.

(also asked this at the other place...but too early for response yet)

There was a reply somewhere on 'the other place' and that said there was no permanent bar. They must put up a temporary one for the get together evenings. Perhaps the old Club House in Eaton Square had more facilities. The name 'Club House' could easily be replaced with 'Head Office' or 'HQ' I think. I don't think it's a club where you can just turn up.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'm inclined to agree, the old place was very much a club house but the new one really should be called head office, as the "Club facilities" are limited and not generally available, they used to organise events there some evenings and I understand that the last AGM was held there but that's about it

Actually, given how they treated the forum, perhaps instead of HQ, they could call it the Fu Q (pronounce the U as in 'UP') snowHead

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
