Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Last minute ski trips

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all.

Any suggestions for last minute ski long weekends. May bank holiday would be good which is the 5th May.

Main proviso is must be able to drive there or get the train, as I won't fly!

Cheers
Liz

THere are few places open so late in the season - see the closing dates here

I'd say Tignes is probably your best bet, eurostar to pairs, overnight train to bourg st maurice, bus / taxi up to tignes

Search the lgluski site - use this link and snowheads gets a brucie bonus, or call my pal gavin @ http://skiweekend.com/ , he'll sort you out with something

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Anywhere with a glacier would be a safe bet, the glacier at Tignes is pretty good although I haven't done it at that particular time of year.

I'm gonna head up to Scotland if there's still snow then though, loads up there at the moment, particularly at Glencoe, and they quite often make it into May, although they sometimes close before the snow has gone because of lack of punters!

I have really got my fingers crossed for this!!

I remember ski-ing on my 21st birthday in Nevis on the 21st of may one year. That was really cool!!

We are open until 5th May and doing spring special offers from £79 for 3 nights catered chalet accommodation. We are in Tignes so you could drive or get train to Bourg.
