Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tignes Ski-Bus

Anyone know where abouts the ski-bus picks up and drops off? We're staying in Les Brevieres and it'd be nice to nip into town a few evenings for a bit of nightlife an all that.

Cheers

You'd be much better going to Val d'Isere than Tignes: its about the same distance.
Don't know where the bus stops.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I parked at Les Brevieres 2 weeks ago ('cos its free) while we were staying in Tignes Val Claret.

You might need to check this further - and other SHs may correct me - but as far as I could see, there is no bus service to/from Les Brevieres to Tignes on an evening. There is a 24 hr bus service between Tignes Lavachet, Tignes Le Lac & Tignes Val Claret with a less frequent service going down the hill to Tignes les Boisses - but nothing going to/from Les Brevieres.

Daytime road connections between Les Brev and Tignes also appear a bit sketchy - in fact the bus timetable makes reference to the chairlift between Les Brev and Les Boisses being free for pedestrians with no ski kit - who then need to catch a bus up to Le Lac or Val Claret from Les Boisses.

The only reference I saw to a Tignes - Val D'Isere road connection was a taxi advert on the lift map - for people who get stuck in the wrong resort.

No bus service to Les Brevieres no, there is to Le Boisses but that's as far down the mountain as the Tignes Skibus goes.

Taxi is around €40 ircc.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

You could always ski back from Tignes les Boisses by moonlight! Tignes isn't a very inspiring place but you could put your shoes/ski boots in your backpack. As far as I remember the run is mostly a quite wide, fairly gentle road.
