Also the Happy Gay Ski Week in Tignes on the 29th. I'd like to point out we sorted our trip o Tignes for this week before we discovered the festival was on..........honest.

Junior suite seemed to be the cheapest option! From my experience of hotels that probably translates to "tiny room but with a chair in the corner".

Why? Just ditch the kids and wife. Tignes is only about 20 miles from La Rosiere, assuming you take the view if you can't beat them then join them.
I am off to Niseko Japan. The charge for half board for skiing in and skiing out hotel is GBP 400/week/head. That is traditional family type skiing.

One of the reasons why I am not interested. There are a few gay companies who cater for all sorts of holidays, but they are really expensive and really just take advantage. Also, from what I hear, the people that go on these holidays are all up their own a***!!!!

Don't think anybody knows as one can only get into one and but not both thus nobody has experience on both. Presumable these are single sex holidays. I think there is sex involved if the word gay and lesbian are mentioned, otherwise why make a distinction about them.

Actually, I don't think there's any implication of sex at all - and I guess that the reason there's a distinction made is probably for the same reason that gay bars/pubs/clubs etc exist - so that gay men/women can be in an environment with other gay men/women [and not feel threatened etc.] I'm not personally convinced that there's a need for organised gay holidays, although it's probably quite a good way of meeting people, but as jb1970 says there seems to be an element of rip-off pricing.

The point of gay/lesbian holidays/events/venues is that people can socialise and relax without having to feel freaky/explain themselves all the time/pretend to be something they aren't. Orgies are not involved (except when they are, but that could be said of heterosexual social gatherings as well).

SMALLZOOKEEPER, there would be no demand for 'hetero' weeks, since most people are heterosexual and the assumption is made that you are until you inform people otherwise. Hence the attraction for homosexuals in an environment in which they don't need to explain themselves because they are assumed to be exactly what they are. You benefit from this attitude wherever you go - they don't.
And plenty of gays feel freaky - a) it takes most people a while to get to grips with the fact that they aren't 'normal' and b) there is still a whole lot of intolerance, hostility and just plain sniggering out there - have another look at some of the posts on this thread.
