Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Klosters-Davos Good / Verbier Bad

I just spent a week in Klosters-Davos Very Happy

The snow is excellent. Everything is white, down to roughly 800m on North-facing slopes.

Highly recommended.

I am now in Verbier Sad

In contrast, the snow here sucks.

Almost everything is green below about 1800m.

They urgently need a topup.

Whitegold, There is very little skiing below 1800m in Verbier, so unless it's aesthetic beauty of snow topped chalets that you're interested in, what's the problem? Anyway, in a few days you'll be complaining that it's taking too long for them to open everything up after the dumps due later in the week.

At the airport on the way back, Conditions good with a decent coverage to resort level and snowing as I left. Sun affecting lower slopes and south facing slopes but generally excellent.

Love Verbier, Love Davos/Klosters too and if you guys don't love them both too you're doing it wrong.

Chill my snowHead brethren these places have their quirks but goddamn they have their compensations too. Stop me if I'm boring you but how can anyone spend time in these amazing places and bitch/whine/moan?? I ask you! try pulling a 10 hour shift at tesco for £50 hoping to one day have £7.80 spare to go on a shy-t dry slope somwhere and then tell me they 'suck'.
