I know I'm probably one of the younger folks around here with the majority of you using zimmerframes and what not  But, is anybody else on this forum going to this years BUSC Main Event to Saalbach?

No, not going, but it's useful (and not only to the zimmer frame brigade) to have a heads-up on the Resort to Avoid at All Costs. The reputation of this event throughout the Alps seems pretty unfortunate.

They've let them back to the resort (well, valley)? Last time round at Hinterglemm someone burnt down an apartment (not me!)

pam w, true, if I knew 3000 people would be going to a resort at a given week I wouldn't want to go there either.

Ok, it was actually the first year at Hinterglemm back in 2000. http://www.natives.co.uk/news/april/1004fire.htm . Bizarrely the resort had BUSC back the next year, although given the almost complete lack of snow in 01 they probably did very well to have 2000+ beds sold!

In all fairness, that doesn't really seem like foul play just people not thinking properly. It can happen to anyone, be they a student or not...

Timmaah, I'm on my 4th Zimmer-frame as I drag my old carcass around ... but having seen the antics (on-slope) of a sub-group of that mob in VdI in 2006 , I shall avoid Austria for that period. Fun is Good ... Ignorance and Lack of Respect for Others is not.
