Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Help needed re. Oberlech

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Can anyone help with this: looking for a package to a decent hotel in Oberlech with spa / wellness facilities for late next January. Prefer convenience of tour operator with local UK flight options etc. Does anybody know if this is possible, or failing that how did you go about arranging a week in this type of hotel in Oberlech and how much did it cost ?
Many thanks

Get on the Oberlech website ( http://www.oberlech.com/winter_en/index.html ) and peruse the hotels. Get all the email addresses of the ones you like and email them asking them if they can pick you up from Innsbruck airport and then book the one you like the sound of best.

Then you'll have to keep an eye on the BA or EasyJet websites and book the flights as soon as they become available.

Munich and Friedrichshafen airports are feasable as well but a little more hassle and probably less easy to get a transfer.

Inghams used (a long time ago) to run a very comfy chalet in Oberlech, right by a piste. Not really what you asked about, I know.

We're going to Oberlech on Sunday and are flying with EasyJet from Bristol to Innsbruck. There are lots of hotels in Oberlech and they will arrange a taxi transfer for you. We're staying at Hotel Salome. We've travelled with Inghams to Lech before, but I don't think they have hotels in Oberlech. Hotel Salome have arranged 'Der Lecher' to collect us.

Friedrichshafen airports

for the fried chicken there's a transfer bus which is really good http://www.airportbus.at/finished_v2/index.php , 60 euro per person return. links into the Ryaniar flights and is at pretty sensible times friday, saturday, sunday

I used it last year for St.Anton, worked fine. Personally If I was going to Lech I'd do the same, unless I was completely minted...

truffaut, for travel (in our case to St Anton), we have flown to Munich (cheap flights available more or less all year) then train (you'd need a cab or a bus to Lech), and train from London (again, bus or cab to Lech). Pros and cons to both, obviously. Innsbruck is the closest airport (then train), but flights tend to be pricey, presumably because it's close to a number of resorts.

Thanks for the info. Any idea how much a week's half board would cost ? Is it best to book through an agency or do the hotels only accept direct bookings. Some of the prices on the hotels' websites look a bit high and I may have to drop the whole idea if there are no ways of getting cheaper.
