Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

skitrish, Best bet for that sort of thing is often the tourist office - who will at least point you at suitable, approved, local accommodation.

Mate

Having just returned I can highly recommend a few nights in Hotel Les Lanchers, in the village of Les Praz 5 mins drive from Chamonix and two minutes walk from the Flegere ski lift plus easy access to the entire Chamonix valley. Went with four others and we all thought it was excellent. About 1 - 1.5 hours to get there. Great food, great atmosphere, fairly cheap, comfortable bar with sports channels if you are into that in the evening, 20 mins walk into Cham in the evening if you want a bit more action.

Run by an English guy, Jon.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

There's a good opening in the market somewhere, for people who provide weekend and long weekend accommodation and transfers, and have a couple of days off themselves, in mid-week. There is clearly excess demand, to judge from the posts on Snowheads for the past few months.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much
