Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Serre Chevalier Ski / Snowboard Hire - Intersport

Hi Folks, I'm coming out to Serre Chevalier on March 22nd, staying at Accomadation Grangevielle in Le Monêtier les Bains. I'm on a budget but also looking to hire some decent equipment.

In our party we need to hire 4 ski sets and 1 snowboard set. Can anyone recommend a good ski hire shop?

I notice that Intersport is cheap if you book in advance over the internet. Is Intersport a good option? I usually prefer the small independant shops, but they are usually more expensive Sad Also, if Intersport is a good option which is the nearest one to my accomadation?

Forgot to mention that the skiers are all beginners, and the snowboarder is a confident rider but not yet advanced.

Melted Snowman, the intersport shop is in the centre of the village on the main road, nowhere is really far to walk to in Monetier.
