Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Haven't actually been on this years trip to ADH (15th March), but thinking about next year snowHead

Our daughter starts school in Sept and we'll now be restricted to when we can go. Would you rather go the week before the Xmas (i.e. Sat 13th Dec 0Cool, or the first full week in April (i.e. Sat 4th Apr 0Cool?

Thats what we have plumped for this year. Spring flowers, soft snow, late starts and big sunburn. Usually fresh snow higher up. Avoid any skiing below 1800m to be snow sure.

If your daughter is just 5 years old I would opt for April. Much warmer ambient temperature. They do a lot of standing around at that age. rolling eyes

Our youngest is now 7 and we did our first pre-Christmas trip this winter. We were lucky and had fantastic snow in Tignes, but it would have been a bit cold for very little ones that week. Midday in Val Claret was around -10. Kept the snow in great shape though.. Laughing Laughing

Guvnor, She'll be on school holidays for both suggested dates

hopeless, no worries Smile

Looks like April would be the preferred date. Backs up my own thoughts. Longer days, warmer days. Much more inviting for a 5 year old Smile

Maybe I should go on my own before Xmas as well, just to test just how cold it would be Twisted Evil Little Angel

Thanks to all for your comments.

With seasons getting later, April is now generally more snow-sure.
