Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Montecampione

Hi

New to site.

Going away shortly on my 2nd trip so far this year to Montecampione in Italy. I've never heard of it - anyone know anything about it. Looking at the webcam they've just had a dump at the weekend so hopefully it'll still be there when i go.

Went to Les Gets at the beginning of Jan with the family and it was great - although quite expensive for eating / drinking out.

Montecampione is nearest resort to Milan, used alot by Italians during weekend and blissful quiet during week. Not excessively large but with lovely views accros Alps. Montecampione resort guide at http://www.monticolo.it/montecampioneresort.html The area is not tourist filled so have remarkably good prices. Pizza for 6 Euro !

I was there at beginning of March.

Im only a beginner so can't really comment on the quality of the snow except to say that it was all there!

Will you be staying in Boario Terme? And take the skibus up the mountain each day? If you want info, just ask. I have experience of the ski school, and the ski hire place which caused me some problems. I could say alot, but would be easier to answer questions.

Its a good local resort with tremendous views, blew me away. Not very big, enough for a weekend. There are a couple of unavoidable button lifts, and some flat spots (I'm a snowboarder). I really enjoyed the panoramica run.

Let me know what the snow is like when you get back, as i might go for another weekend. Its really good value.

I stayed at Hotel San Martino, it was excellent, family run, great food. Skibus comes to pick you up, 8.30am or 10.00 although the early bus might not be running now at this end of the season. About 30min journey up the mountain.

Would be very worthwhile to learn a few phrases of Italian!!
