Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Gressoney Ski School

Hi

Wondering if anyone could put my mind at ease. We are about to go on our first family skiing holiday with our 2 boys age 5 and 9. We are staying in Gressoney La Trinite, and the boys have been booked into the ski school there. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of the ski school, and are they good with kids??

Hi Jo72, welcome to snowHead s.

We stayed in Gressoney la Trinite in 2002 and we all used the ski school. Our boys were 16 13 and 11 at the time and were already experienced skiers. The nursey slopes are at the edge of the village if I remember correctly.

Our experience of ths ski school was a bit variable to be honest, because our two older boys ended up having to join us in an adult intermediates class because there weren't enough children at their level needing lessons. Also, although the tuition was good, the language skills were "interesting" - the Italian instructor also spoke French but not English so I ended up translating his French instructions into English for the benefit of my family and a Dutch couple!

Having said that, we loved the resort which was quiet and picturesque and it's one that we often discuss returning to.
