Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Central Pyrenees update

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
After the terrible rain a week or so ago we have been blessed by almost constant warm temperatures and clear skies.

Baqueira is still reporting a base of 50cm plus and having been over their today to watch PIRENA 2008 (the Trans Pyrenees dog sledding competition) I can say it is looking remarkably well though the runs down to Baqueira itself are in a little trouble.

Peyragudes is holding up very well and with a 50cm base and much more higher up there is some great skiing to be had though first thing it is a little icy and exposed slopes lower down are turning soft during the heat of the day.

Superbagneres is faring the worst with sun exposed banks and slopes suffering. The main piste areas are still skiing very well but getting soft in the afternoon.

The current situation is far better than this time last year but colder weather and more snow is going to be needed to maintain conditions for the start of the main school holidays in Feb.

Just a quick shot from Baqueira today where a Brit (Graeme Scott) is doing very well in 3rd overall.
