Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A not too early start worked in our favour, as the morning mist was just starting to clear when we got on the hill just before 11. By lunchtime it was clear blue skies, little wind and a cold, clear day. On piste, the snow was about as nice as you could hope for. Off piste was variable, nice soft bits, thick bits, hard bits, crusty bits, all good fun Laughing

Great cover on the southern end of the Cairnwell side, the Tiger is in great shape. They were pisting out Carn Aosda and Butchart's in the afternoon so they should be good to go this weekend. We didn't spend much time on the Sunnyside but they were hard at work getting the Meall Odhar and Coire Fionn runs open, so it should be the whole area minus Glas Maol tomorrow.

Tiger has great cover, some good fresh lines to be had outside the fences on either side and in the Thunderbowl.

Nae punters ! wink

balernoStu dealing effectively with some crusty stuff, the camera wasn't enough to jinx him.

Cairngorms looking impressive.

As does Glas Maol.

Hills above Loch Vrotachan.

Sunset

The Cairnwell. At this point my camera battery ran out so you'll have to take my word for it that the evening light got progressively more beautiful with deep purple on one horizon and fiery red on the other ... alpenglow ... a crescent moon, the full works. Unforgettable, sigh .....

brian, Those are fantastic pics. Sums up the place beautifully. We had a fantastic day on Saturday - stayed on the slopes from 8.30 am till 5.15 pm. I tried to get some arty pictures of the snow crusted fences, but failed quite miserably.
