Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Nice one, Skisimon.

Just missed the first 6 mins.

There is another on at 5.00am tomorrow set on the Sky+. Dunno if same one though.

Is this a series?

I got the impression that it was, particularly from a couple of comments from the guys doing the Japan report.

I really shouldn't have watched that though, instead of thinking heli-skiing looks fun, I now really, really want to do it, NOW! Madeye-Smiley

Only caught the zermatt section, thought it was pretty poor for a 'travel' show. not much on the strenghts/weaknesses of the resort, how to get there, types of accomodatin etc.

honestly we'd do better rounding up a bunch of snowheads and getting them on video...

It is a series, episodes first air each Tuesday night I think then repeat through the week. Doesn't series link though annoyingly. I say annoyingly, its not that great - titles and music are abysmal. Only thing going for it is its relatively up to date, and hey, its skiing in real resorts so still interesting enough for me...

I have to say that I could't understand the presenters' American accents very well, and found them a bit annoying. That Mr Butler seems a nice chap, but we could do with some slow-mo action to see what he's talking about. I just like watching the snow and skiing action, so will watch it again.

Yes the "Best of Butler"!! He comes across very agreeable. Any of the Whistler folk know him?

snowHeads TV anyone? Was thinking myself that I'd love to buy a quality camcorder and film a series, there aren't really any ski shows about holidays made in/for the UK, they're all Yankee imports.

I've quite enjoyed the couple of episodes I've seen. As I said of the first I saw, it cerainly makes me want to jump in a budgie and go skiing miles away from anything.

skisimon, there was a podcast a year or two ago called Snofix. Two twenty-something Brits filming resort reports, snow news etc. That was okay.

conor, It is still going.

Generally a new episode weekly during the winter, with a few just to keep our appetites whetted during the summer.

 You know it makes sense.

Have to admit to not watching that all the way through (half watching something else already).

Here is a list of what I'd have:

  • Resort report.
  • Something different (like heli-skiing or racing).
  • Instruction type thing - bit like Best of Butler.
  • Challenge piece?
  • Guests - family holiday, celebs, WC racer interviews etc

CAn someone rename this thread Skiers World?

Anyway. Another interestingly put together episode. Many spelling mistakes for example which was amusing. And another thing, just HOW does Rob Butler speak so concisely when ripping a line? Amazing. He's growing in my mind as one of my personal ski legends. Him, and Glen Plake who's just obviously hilarious.

"Try, it I hope it works for you! From beautiful Whistler Mtn...I'm Rob Butler" Superb.
