Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We can't gey away until end of Feb this year, usually its half term week and we have never had a snow problem. Do I need to be careful going on the 23 Feb ?
My current hit list is Alpes D'Huez or Corchevel.
Any thoughts ?
Reluctant to go too high (eg Val Thorens/ Tignes) 'cos I get altitude sickness.

, no, no worries. That week should be about as snowy right across the alps as it's possible to be.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Obviously each year is different, but all of Feb is still the main high season for most resorts so you shouldn't have any problem. I doubt you'll notice much difference between that week and the one before. Tis a fickle thing, but you should be fine!

FACT - 1st week of March has historically the largest snowpack of the season. Its a great week to go IMO. Only part that will be bad about that week is the French holidays and how busy it will be. If you can go a week later its not as busy, but still busy.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

, no worries in either of those destination. The week beginning 8 March will be better from the point of view of crowds and should still have bags of snow. FAR better than half term.
