Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Contamines?

Off to Les Contamines on Friday.... snow was great until the weekend, and now it seems a bit rubbish. As of this morning, the slope down to the resort has been closed. Anyone any recent info on snow higher up?

magic_hat, not been to Les Contamines yet this trip, but skied in Notre Dame de Bellecombe today, very close as the crow flies. Snow was getting a bit thin down to the 1350 centre but was absolutely fine - though inevitably rather hard packed - above that. The top of Les Contamines should be fine, and there could be a bit of snow in the next 72 hours. Above the top of the gondola you'll be fine. The run down to the village is no great loss, frankly. The higher skiing is much more worthwhile. snowHead

magic_hat,

Have a great trip. Would like to hear some about this resort. Are you leaving the cheese licker at home. Le Mouflon crew are still in shock from last year!!

Aye cheese licker is staying at home... he's just bought a house with Laura ("Hic. i'm really sorry chris is so drunk. i'm not at all. He's so embarrassing. Hic Hic Burp") , so couldn't manage to find the cash for this one as well as La Tania in March.

Will do a resort/trip report when i get back - don't think there is one on les Contamines yet.

Glad you enjoyed La Ros again - sounds like you had awesome conditions, i was jealous as all hell.
