Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I am at intermediate level - happy on reds and get down blacks with the odd bum twitching moment.....looking at what seems to be an absolute bargain on ebay...item no: 330198935006 for some Fischer AMC76 all mountain skis........they are classed for more more advanced skiers thatn me, but would it be better to buy some like these to improve on or would they sent my skiing backwards?

thanks

Have a look at the Fischer skis being sold by ski-bilek and skiprofis (same German company) on ebay, to get an idea of how the price compares. You'll find that the pictures are remarkably similar (as are the other skis he's selling) but that could just be a coincidence wink

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hi thanks for that.....did actually watch a pair last night in a Ski-bilek auction but went for more than these are up for and more comfortable that they are in the UK- said can collect if I want.

Still got the original question though....is buying these or similar skis that are classed for the more advanced skier going to aid my progress or send me back into a snowplough!

petekav, Don't worry to much about the ski's being advanced. At the end of the day they are just planks taking you down a huge mountain! If you like 'em, they receive many good reviews and the price and condition are good then always consider them.
Also black runs in avg European conditions are pretty difficult, mainly due to the hardpack and ice alongside the steepness. If you are attacking these slopes then I am sure the skis will be absolutely fine for you.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
