Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mounting Bindings Question

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I've just taken delivery of some new Fischer RC4 WorldCup SC skis and RC4 Z13 Bindings.

The problem i have is that i thought i had asked, and paid, for the bindings to be mounted, but it turns out i hadn't!

The skis have the FlowFlex binding plate which has all the holes pre drilled with annotation indicating which holes are for different boot sole lenghts. Now as far as i can see the bindings just screw into the plate with no drilling and there are holes for my exact boot length. So my question is how hard can it be to mount these bindings? Am i going to die on my first run at chillfactore when my binding pings off my ski? and should i really give snow and rock £25 to do it properly.

I know my binding settings and I normally service my, and my wife's skis, so am not totally clueless when it comes to ski maintenance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Puzzled

Yes it's easy to do but you just need to set the forward pressure adjustment after installing the bindings & dialing in your DIN settings on the toe & heel piece. If you PM me your email address I'll send you the tech manual showing how to set the forward pressure.

I'd recommend getting one of the Chillfactor guys to check 'em prior to hitting the slope.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for that. I've been trying to PM you but don't know if it's worked. The messages just seem to sit in the "outbox" and not the "sentmessages"

FastCarver, don't worry about it, it's not obvious - someone had to tell me too.
