Poster: A snowHead

We're return to the Piesey area of Les Arc and I can't remember if there is any advantage price wise in booking kids ski school (will be back with the ESF) and passes before we arrive. Is there a discount for advance booking?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Geri, were going first week in Jan same time as last year, so the ski schools were relatively quiet. I agree about the passes it would certainly cut down on the hassle, prior to getting kids into Ski school. I'll check out Les Arcs website.

No were staying in Peisey village near the bottom of the yogurt pots. The kids got their one and two stars with the ESF last year so I guess its a contanuity thing. The year before I investigated the independent schools at La Ros and put them with Evo 2 after various discussion on this forum but as we were at a quiet time found that the level mix of the lessons available wasn't what was promised and whilst they were put with Esprit children they in turn had an exclusivity arrangement which raised a few eyebrows, so I went back to the ESF last time and had a good experience. We had 5 children in lessons and all were happy with their teachers and progressed well. We also took an instructor ourselves to run a loose reasonable intermediate group and he was very flexible. I think being there first week in Jan has a lot to do with it as its a little bit quieter and therefore a bit more flexible, but thanks for the advice and I'll check out New Generation as well. Thanks for the link.

I too have been pleased with ESF in Peisey-Vallandry for our children. I always book in advance but do not think there is any price difference. Last Feb my 12 yr old in Competition class did what she thought was the best ski-ing ever - 6 mornings of almost pure off piste all over the Les Arcs - Vallandry - Peisey area , and only about 7 or 8 in the class.
But I also saw twice a small group of English kids having a superb time with a Ski New Generation teacher in the Les Arcs snow park. He was enthusiastic, encouraging , and made it fun and they looked like they were really enjoying it.
