Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

We stayed at the sunspree holiday inn last time we went and they did give us a discount as we were booking for 11 nights. Sunspree is on a very convenient location but I'm sure as you move further away from the lifts the accommodation will get cheaper. Always worth just emailing a few places direct and see what they can quote.

Welcome to snowHeads crystalng.

www.alluradirect.com is a good place to start - apartments (condos) directly rented from their owners. Apartments in Whistler don't have the 7 night Saturday-Saturday restriction of Europe as there's very high demand at weekends from people who live in Vancouver. So many owners will see a 10 day rental as a bonus - and will be open to negotiation.

Was just going to say Alluradirect. That's who we used when we were in Whistler a few years back. We got a superb condo in Blackcomb, right next to the slopes, for £15pp pn. Cheap as chips. Not sure you'll get it that cheap now, but you might get lucky.

Very Happy

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks guys, it's my first time venturing out of Europe so any tips are welcome!
Incidentally, how different are lessons in Canada compare to the ones in Europe? I've had a quick look and there are a lot of options out there!

crystalng,

Can't comment on lessons in Europe, but in Whistler I'd recommend both the Ski Esprit or the Dave Murray programmes.

Remember to tip your instructor!
