Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Which ski pass?

Hey All,

I'm off to Meribel on 12th Jan. I've been once before and absolutely loved it. On a previous trip we barely left Meribel and only crossed over to Val Thorens and Corcheval on 2 or 3 occasions because we felt we had to. This year we were considering getting the Meribel only pass and purchasing an daily extended ticket as and when we're"crossing over" to the other vallies. At what point does the full whack 3 vallies pass actually save you money (ignoring convenience)?

Thanks in advance?

Nick.

Unless you're a distance freak, there's loads to do in Meribel. In some years I've found the snow better in Courcheval and VT but it doesn't look like that'll be an issue this season Very Happy The far corners of Courcheval have some of the best and quietest pistes though...

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

For me it's a no-brainer. 3V pass for 6 days is 220 euros Meribel only is 178 and a single day extension is 21.5. As the Meribel valley is the one of the 3 (4) which I least enjoy I would always go for the full pass. Mind you I do like to ski somewhere different every day and to get miles under my belt. I fully understand that some people don't want travel quite so far.

It's been the same for a few years now: leave your valley twice and you effectively pay the same as the full 3V pass. If you've been to Meribel before and went "over-the-top" twice will you do the same again? If yes get the full 3V.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

the ice perv, that's a good point. I'd definately do it again and like Roger, I found Courcheval did have some nice runs. I'm just looking forward to all the snow!
