Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Air Canada - Vancouver

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Afternoon all,

those of you travelling to Canada over the festive season might want to know that i have just had a call from Thomas Cook to tell me my Air Canada direct flight from Heathrow to Vancouver on the 26th December has been changed for an indirect flight via Toronto and there is nothing i can do about it, apparently there are no alternate direct flights available and i cant cancel as its in the terms and conditions that this may happen.

BUT its ok because the woman from Crystal Customer services says - ‘it wont affect your skiing time so you wont be missing out’.....BLOODY CHEEK

I have spent a small fortune on this holiday and have just been told that i am losing some of an already short holiday because Air Canada want to re-sell the tour operator flights at a premium to independent travellers willing to pay more!!

bit of a rant but i also wanted to make you guys aware of this, if you are travelling Air Canada on a package holiday then it might be worth checking, I have only been told today and due to fly on 26th.

At least you've got a flight.

A few years back I booked a trip to Sun Peaks & Whistler with Inghams, who then (i) changed the day I was supposed to travel because KLM had (allegedly) changed their flight schedules, and then (ii) said I couldn't go to Sun Peaks, because they hadn't had enough people booking that destination at that time. (I thought cancelling a brochure-advertised destination was a bit rich)

- I got my money back, reorganised my trip with another company and have never used Inghams since. (In fact now I either DIY or use a specialist operator (Ski Independence) who have been very good).

I don't use package companies anymore either. cheaper and more flexible to do it all yourself, and often more fun with it.
