Poster: A snowHead
|
I bought a set of these in the summer sale after hiring a pair last March. Have I made the right move? I thought they were great in powder with good pop in the jumps and fairly good on-piste (apart from the judders on icy corduroy at speed). Have any snowheads done a season on these? Don't hold this against me but I like the graphics as well.

Josef K, might be a little late to be asking this question!!!
One of my housemates is on a set of foils and is loving them! we've skiied all over and he hasn't complained about any of the conditions we've had: Thigh deep powder, Glacial Ice, Hard Pistes, Chopped up powder, Bumps......
We've had it all this week....
anyway, I'm sure you'll find out once you've skiied them anyway!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

george_1, wish I was in Tignes, pissing it down in London right now. I've heard the foils scratch easy - pre-ski jitters setting in.

I think that it's inevitable that you're going to gouge the bottom of your skis if you ski off piste a lot, doesn't really matter what brand they are.

I ski these and think they are fantastic ski, not done a season on them though but put in a fair few miles and they are holding up well.

Superb skis, really versatile and easygoing. The only downside is that they are a bit noodly if you're really fast, aggresive and/or well fed. Ugly as sin for the past few seasons though.

Good skis. Only possible negatives compared to similar skis is that they can be a bit soft if you're heavy, and that consequently they can get a bit chattery or floppy on ice or at speed. Overall, great allrounders though and really enjoyable on piste (great rebound and sidecut) and in powder (fairly fat and decent shovel).
