Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Off piste trip 15-17th Dec - looking for guide

Hi,

I'm in the process of planning a quick weekend 15th-17th Dec and we're trying to sort out where to head to for 3 days decent off piste, got to be loads of options. Thinking of places like Zinal, St Anton, Engelberg .. anywhere we can get away from the crowds. Bit worried if we pick St Anton it may be busy ... any comments?

One of the issues is the costs of guiding, between two it's pricey so anybody got any plans for off piste guiding that weekend and looking to cut costs? Happy to join up with folks that know an area well and don't mind showing us a few routes, but generally prefer to stick with folks or a guide for safety where poss rather than just pointers.

Normally travel with kitenski but he's bailing out this year so we need some new company !

We've booked our flights into Friedrichshafen now and plan to head to St Anton and ski for 3 days with pistetopowder.com .... can't wait! I think there are two of us in the group at the moment, they're trying to setup a level 3 group. £300 inc. B&B for 3 days which is not too bad a price for 9-4.30pm off piste.
