Poster: A snowHead

We're heading there in March and my husband needs to rent skis. We're staying at the Lievre Blanc. Ta!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

hi
My understanding was they do hire in the hotel - so that's sorted. Check the website? I also think there is a Melquiond along the main drag from the hotel, but there are plenty over the main road in the shopping centre in Villeneuve. SkiSet do ok deals. Enjoy. The hotel always looks nice and cosy when we've walked past.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You definitely need local knowledge here as I wasn't impressed when I had to hire skis there....but I am also very picky like that...

ukyankee, MarjMJ, welcome to SnowHeads. Lievre Blanc certainly used to do their own ski hire service.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

In response to JT, we weren't impressed with Lucky Loc, but it's up past the P&V place so not a nice staggering distance either.

ukyankee, we've had decent stuff from the Twinner place in Villeneuve in the past (three or four years ago now though) Riquet sports I think, and they have a shop just along from the Lievre Blanc .

ukyankee, for expert level skis, try the parade of shops in front of the Grotte bar. There is some serious stuff there. Intermediate level, I'll second Helen Beaumont,'s advice. Its not the busiest time of the season, so there should be a good selection.
If you have transport, then I recommend Ski Complice in Chantemerle.

chris, is that the place with the good boot fitter? Recommended by Euan from LDA who comes over to Chantemerle to have his boots fitted.

Helen Beaumont, yes, Bruno Bornicat at Ski Complice is the man! He had the pleasure of playing with my feet last winter.

Thanks all. We don't have transport, so I'll have him head to Twinner/Riquet sports.
